PLAVE Tops Melon Chart Immediately After Release of “Hide and Seek”
Virtual idol group PLAVE’s new song soared to the top of the music charts right after its release.
On September 15, PLAVE released their new digital single Hide and Seek across various music platforms. On the day of release, the track smoothly entered Melon’s TOP100 chart at 7 PM. By midnight on the 16th, it had climbed to No. 8 on the TOP100, while ranking No. 1 on both the HOT100 (within 100 days of release) and HOT100 (within 30 days of release), achieving remarkable results.
Notably, the track is the Korean-language version of “Kakurenbo (かくれんぼ),” their Japanese debut song released in June. Despite being an adaptation, the single has garnered significant success domestically as well, proving PLAVE’s growing influence beyond Japan.
Hide and Seek features PLAVE’s signature soaring, emotional band sound, with Korean lyrics that metaphorically capture stories of youth, leaving a strong impression. With this Korean adaptation, the group plans to further strengthen communication with fans both at home and abroad, while carrying out active global promotions.
Previously, PLAVE successfully kicked off their first Asia tour DASH: Quantum Leap with a sold-out concert in Seoul, followed by a successful show in Taipei. Their upcoming tour stops include Hong Kong on October 1, Jakarta on October 18, Bangkok on October 25, Tokyo on November 1 and 2, and an encore concert at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome on November 21 and 22, where they will meet fans across various regions.
