B-cut stills showcasing the stunning visuals of Jun Ji-hyun and Kang Dong-won in Polaris have been revealed.
On the 22nd, Disney+ original series Polaris released its first set of behind-the-scenes stills, filled with warmth and charm. The series follows “Moon-joo” (Jun Ji-hyun), a UN ambassador who has built an international reputation, as she chases the mastermind behind an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate. Alongside her is “San-ho” (Kang Dong-won), a stateless special agent assigned to protect her, as they uncover a massive truth that threatens the Korean Peninsula.
The newly released stills capture a different side of the drama’s intense atmosphere, showing the filming site brimming with laughter and passion. Behind the much-talked-about train scene—praised for Jun Ji-hyun and Kang Dong-won’s extraordinary chemistry—the heartwarming smiles reflect the friendly and positive energy on set.
The stills also highlight the bright, cheerful sides of other cast members: John Cho, who added tension with his steadfast convictions; Lee Mi-sook, who captivated audiences as Im Ok-seon with her flawless performance; and Kim Hae-sook, who played Chae Kyung-shin with striking charisma. Off-screen, they revealed a 180-degree charm reversal with laughter-filled expressions. Kang Dong-won, who thrilled viewers with his dynamic action scenes, is also shown fully immersed in his role, radiating passion in every moment of filming.
With this blend of joy and dedication on set, Polaris promises even greater anticipation for its gripping story and the cast’s powerful performances.
Meanwhile, Polaris has released up to episode 5, with episodes 6 and 7 set to premiere on September 24.
