배우 고(故) 박상조가 별세했다. 16일 뉴시스에 따르면 고 박상조는 지난 4일 별세했다.
고인은 지난해 8월 폐암 4기 진단을 받고 항암치료를 받았으나, 1년 만에 병세가 악화된 것으로 전해졌다. 이에 지난 8월 응급실에 입원했으나 결국 세상을 떠났다.
고 박상조는 1969년 MBC 공채 탤런트 1기로 데뷔했다. 그는 드라마 '수사반장', '전원일기', '모래시계', '용의 눈물', '태조왕건', '태종 이방원' 등에 출연했다.
1988년에는 MBC 탤런트실 회장을 역임하기도 했다. 2012년에는 '한국사회를 빛낸 사람들' 대한민국 충효대상 방송연기 부문 공로를 인정받아 '2012 방송연기발전 공로대상'을 수상했다.
한편 고인의 장지는 서울시립승화원에 마련됐다.
