K-pop group BOYNEXTDOOR has achieved its fifth consecutive entry on the U.S. Billboard 200 main albums chart.
On November 4, American music media outlet Billboard announced via its official social media that BOYNEXTDOOR’s (members Sungho, Riwoo, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak) fifth mini album The Action ranked No. 40 on the Billboard 200 chart dated November 8. This marks a 22-spot rise from their previous album No Genre, which peaked at No. 62.
With this, BOYNEXTDOOR has now successfully charted five consecutive times on the Billboard 200 — with WHY.. (No. 162), HOW? (No. 93), 19.99 (No. 40), No Genre (No. 62), and now The Action (No. 40). This remarkable streak makes them the only K-pop group from their debut period to achieve such a record, proving their strong global popularity.
The group’s latest release has also achieved major commercial success. According to Hanteo Chart, The Action sold 1,041,802 copies in its first week, marking BOYNEXTDOOR’s third consecutive million-seller. The album also topped the latest weekly album charts on Hanteo (Oct. 20–26) and Circle Chart (Oct. 19–25), and dominated Apple Music Korea’s Top Albums chart from Oct. 21 to 27.
In Japan, The Action ranked No. 2 on both Billboard Japan’s Top Album Sales chart (Oct. 20–26) and Oricon’s Weekly Album Ranking and Weekly Combined Album Ranking for the same period, underscoring the group’s strong local presence.
The title track Hollywood Action also broke the group’s personal record, debuting at No. 36 on Melon’s Daily Chart and No. 21 on the Weekly Chart, before climbing to No. 19 on the latest weekly chart (Oct. 27–Nov. 2). Additionally, the song placed No. 6 on Line Music Japan’s Weekly Top 100 Songs (Oct. 22–28) and remained on China’s QQ Music New Songs Chart from Oct. 21 to Nov. 3 — demonstrating the group’s growing influence across the global music scene.
