BTS Jungkook Sets New Spotify Records – Longest-Charting Asian Solo Artist: 120 Weeks on Global Song Chart & 104 Weeks on Global Album Chart
BTS’s Jungkook continues his record-breaking streak on Spotify, further proving his immense global popularity.
Jungkook’s 2023 solo debut single “Seven” ranked No. 75 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart for the week of October 24–30. Even two years after its release, the song climbed five spots from the previous week, showcasing its enduring worldwide appeal.
“Seven” has now set a new record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian solo artist, staying on the chart for 120 consecutive weeks. Likewise, Jungkook’s solo album “GOLDEN” also achieved a milestone as the first and longest-charting album by an Asian solo artist, remaining on the chart for 104 weeks.
Recently, “Seven” surpassed 2.6 billion streams on Spotify — the first song by an Asian artist ever to reach this mark, accomplishing the feat in just 829 days, the fastest for a debut song worldwide.
Meanwhile, “GOLDEN” has accumulated over 6.2 billion total streams, becoming the first Asian solo album to do so on Spotify.
