“Embracing Both the Past and the Future” — XG Transcend Boundaries and Evolve

Girl group XG (Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria, Maya, and Cocona) has announced the birth of their first full-length album, one that embodies a more refined and sophisticated core.



On November 6, XG unveiled the official logo for their first studio album through their official social media channels and revealed that “THE CORE - 核” will be released on January 23 next year. Along with the announcement, the members shared messages filled with confidence toward the upcoming release.



In an interview with CLASH magazine, member Chisa said, “This album goes beyond the intensity we’ve shown so far, capturing a more sophisticated and emotional side of XG. Each track carries both powerful and deeply personal stories,” expressing confidence in the album’s completeness.



The main theme “核 (Core)” symbolizes the essence of XG’s identity and represents their declaration to go beyond trends to explore the fundamental nature of music and existence. Through experimental sounds that blur genre boundaries and defy conventions, the album is expected to embody XG’s distinct musical language and philosophy.



In September, XG released “GALA” as a pre-release track, marking the beginning of their first studio album era. With its refined synths and rhythmic house beats, “GALA” combines futuristic soundscapes with avant-garde visuals. Upon release, the track entered YouTube’s trending charts in 21 countries and regions, including the U.S., the U.K., and Japan, drawing global attention. As of November 12, the music video has surpassed 18.42 million views.



Maya shared her affection for the track, saying, “‘GALA’ perfectly represents who we are right now — it’s a perfect blend of powerful verses, confident lyrics, and futuristic sounds.” Cocona added, “‘GALA’ is both an extension of our journey and a new beginning. It serves as the starting point for our first full-length album, embracing both the past and the future,” hinting at a narrative expansion from the pre-release track to the album.



Meanwhile, XG will return with their first studio album “THE CORE - 核”, themed around “a journey to the essence.” Starting in February, they will embark on their second world tour, “XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE,” kicking off in Japan and expanding across Asia, North America, Europe, Australia, and Latin America.
