NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have abruptly announced their decision to return to ADOR, drawing renewed attention to the previously cited comparable case—the FIFTY FIFTY dispute.
On the 12th, ADOR stated, “NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue their activities with ADOR. After careful consideration with their families and sufficient discussions with ADOR, the two members have decided to respect the court’s ruling and honor their exclusive contracts.”
ADOR added, “We will do our utmost to ensure that Haerin and Hyein can continue their entertainment activities smoothly. We kindly ask fans for their warm support and request that they refrain from speculation about the members.”
In November 2024, NewJeans declared the termination of their contracts with ADOR, citing the company’s failure to fulfill its obligations. In December 2024, ADOR filed a lawsuit asserting the validity of the exclusive contracts, claiming that NewJeans had unilaterally attempted to terminate them.
ADOR argued the contracts remained valid, while NewJeans countered that they had lost trust in ADOR following the resignation of former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and several employees.
