CORTIS Receives a Flood of Love Calls in Japan: “A Group Inheriting the Legacy of BTS and TXT”

Rising group CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Gunho) is drawing significant attention in the Japanese music market.

CORTIS is set to appear on Nippon TV’s popular music program with MUSIC on the 22nd. On this broadcast, the group will perform “GO!”, the intro track from their debut album that stayed at No. 1 on Japan Spotify’s Daily Viral Songs chart for five consecutive days (September 11–14), signaling their fast-growing popularity. Prior to this, the group completed a week of diverse activities in Japan, with their very first meeting with local fans drawing attention for its impressive scale. On the 3rd, they were invited to perform at MUSIC EXPO LIVE 2025 held at Tokyo Dome, leaving a strong impression.

On the 5th, CORTIS held their first solo showcase at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo. Following the performance, the country’s top five sports newspapers—Daily Sports, Sankei Sports, Sports Hochi, Sports Nippon, and Nikkan Sports—all featured the event prominently in print. Articles described the group as “the group inheriting the legacy of BTS and TXT” and noted that they are “ready to ‘GO!’ all the way to stadiums,” reflecting heightened expectations and growing interest.

Broadcast and radio stations have also taken notice. In addition to with MUSIC airing on the 22nd, CORTIS has received a surge of love calls from major Japanese music shows, including TBS’s CDTV Live! Live! and Nippon TV’s Buzz Rhythm 02. The group also appeared on over ten information programs and radio shows—such as Nippon TV’s high-rated morning program ZIP!—filling an exceptionally packed schedule for a rookie act.
