
The pop-news account Pop Core (@TheePopCore) compiled a list of the most-streamed K-pop songs on major platforms. According to the infographic released on the 19th, each of the six major platforms shows a different K-pop artist holding the all-time record within the genre.
On Spotify, the highest-streamed K-pop song is Jungkook’s “Seven,” which has accumulated 2.6 billion streams as of the 19th. Even more notably, despite being two years post-release, the song has recently climbed the Spotify Weekly Top Songs Global Chart for three consecutive weeks, ranking No. 71, and extending its record as the first and longest-charting song by an Asian soloist, now at 121 weeks.
On YouTube, the No. 1 K-pop song is PSY’s “Gangnam Style,” which has surpassed 5.7 billion views as of the 19th. On Apple Music, BTS’s “Dynamite” holds the highest streams for a K-pop track, while on Melon, BTS’s “Spring Day” maintains the platform’s top streaming record. On global chart Shazam, Jin’s “The Astronaut” ranks No. 1 among K-pop songs, and on SoundCloud, Jimin’s “Promise” takes the top spot.
Reacting to the announcement, one global fan commented, “PSY paved the way, BTS keeps setting new standards, and Jungkook is dominating Spotify with ease. Legends.” The pride in BTS and the individual members’ achievements—who claimed five of the six top positions—was especially noticeable. Comments such as “BTS and their members are the best,” “King Jimin,” and “The unbeatable legends — BTS & PSY” poured in.
Regarding Jungkook’s Spotify triumph, fans praised him with remarks like “King Jungkook BTS Paved The Way.” As for Jimin’s SoundCloud record, reactions such as “Promise is so iconic it breaks every record” highlighted fans’ enthusiasm.
Interestingly, some fans even encouraged fellow ARMYs to focus on boosting YouTube views, saying, “ARMYs, we need to conquer YouTube.” Numerous comments also underscored BTS’s pioneering role, such as “BTS always on top,” and “BTS PTW (Paved The Way).”
Notably, across the six major platforms, the top spots are held by a 1st-generation K-pop star (PSY), BTS as a group, and individual BTS members—demonstrating how K-pop’s highest achievements are shared across generations. From PSY’s pioneering impact to BTS’s rise as global icons, and the solo success of individual members, this reflects the genre’s evolution and diversity over the years.
