Girl group NewJeans has officially abandoned the name “NJZ.”
Recently, NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) deleted the SNS accounts they had been using when they previously announced their unilateral termination of their exclusive contract with ADOR.
At the time, when the group declared their departure from ADOR and hinted at independent activities, they chose to drop the name “NewJeans” and adopt “NJZ.” The five members created new SNS accounts using the NJZ name, uploading photos and videos of their daily updates and communicating with fans.
However, after the court once again ruled in favor of ADOR in the lawsuit filed in October regarding the validity of NewJeans’ exclusive contract, the five members expressed their intention to return to ADOR, effectively bringing the dispute between both sides to an end.
With the NJZ accounts now deleted, fans are speculating that a full-group comeback from NewJeans may be just around the corner.
Meanwhile, Min Hee-jin, the former ADOR CEO who planned and produced NewJeans, recently established a new agency called OK Records.
