‘♥ Park Jung-min and a Reverse Hit’ — Hwasa Wins 1st Place on Inkigayo Without Appearing on the Show… Two Music-Show Wins

Singer Hwasa has claimed the top spot on Inkigayo, following her win on Show! Music Core.

On the December 7 episode of SBS Inkigayo, Hwasa took 1st place with “Good Goodbye.” Despite not appearing on either program, she secured the trophy, achieving two music-show wins in a row after her victory on the December 6 broadcast of MBC Show! Music Core.

Hwasa is currently enjoying syndrome-level popularity with “Good Goodbye.” In the music video featuring actor Park Jung-min, the two displayed exceptional chemistry, which continued during their special congratulatory performance at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards. Their synergy translated into tangible success, as “Good Goodbye” topped six major Korean digital charts and became the first solo female artist of the year to achieve a Perfect All-Kill (PAK).

Her achievements extend beyond Korea. Hwasa debuted at No. 43 on the Billboard Global 200, reached No. 2 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart through a reverse climb, and even topped the newly launched Billboard Korea Hot 100.

On the U.S. iTunes Song Chart, she reached No. 1 in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Kyrgyzstan; No. 2 in Hong Kong and Indonesia; No. 3 in Thailand and Vietnam; No. 14 in France; and No. 27 in the United States — reaffirming her global influence.

Riding this hot streak, Hwasa continues to showcase her firm musical identity through tracks such as “I Love My Body,” “NA,” and “Good Goodbye” after signing an exclusive contract with P Nation, led by PSY, in June 2023.
