
BTS member Jungkook has been selected as the first artist for Rolling Stone’s new global project.
The music magazine Rolling Stone recently unveiled exclusive cover images featuring Jungkook. This pictorial marks the first collaborative project in Rolling Stone’s history involving three countries—Korea, the UK, and Japan. Jungkook was chosen as the project’s first featured artist, showcasing his stature as a global pop star.
Jungkook appeared on the print covers of Rolling Stone Korea, Rolling Stone UK, and Rolling Stone Japan. The issue also includes a pictorial and an interview that delve into his activities, musical direction, and artistic vision. Notably, Jungkook is the first Korean solo artist to be featured on the cover of Rolling Stone UK. His photos were also released as digital covers in the United States, France, India, the Philippines, and China—making it a total of eight countries spotlighting him across print and digital formats, demonstrating his powerful global brand presence.
In the interview, Jungkook shared, “Right now is a time for a new leap. I want to continue evolving by trying new things. That’s why I want to show many different sides of myself. I want to be an artist who doesn’t follow trends but creates them—an artist without limits.”
Meanwhile, on global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, Jungkook’s solo songs released under his name have recently surpassed 10 billion cumulative streams—the first Korean solo artist to achieve this milestone. Additionally, his solo single ‘Seven (feat. Latto)’ has surpassed 2.6 billion streams, the highest cumulative total for a single track by a Korean artist.
