BLACKPINK’s Rosé has rewritten K-pop history with “APT.,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars, topping the 2025 Billboard Year-End Global 200 chart and ranking No. 9 on the Year-End Hot 100 Singles chart.
According to Billboard on December 10, “APT.” claimed No. 1 on both the Year-End Global 200 and Year-End Global Excl. U.S. charts for 2025. It also finished the year at No. 9 on the Hot 100 Year-End Singles chart. Rosé is now the first K-pop artist ever to achieve both a Global year-end No. 1 and a Hot 100 year-end Top 10 placement.
This year’s Hot 100 year-end rankings also included several strong K-pop entries:
Kadehun’s “Golden” at No. 25, “Your Idol” at No. 54, “Soda Pop” at No. 61, “How It’s Done” at No. 68, “What It Sounds Like” at No. 83, “Free” at No. 92, and “Takedown” at No. 93.
BTS Jimin’s “Who,” the title track of his second solo album MUSE, ranked at No. 57. The Hot 100 Year-End chart reflects the annual performance of the most popular singles in the U.S. BTS previously held the highest K-pop placement with “Butter,” which ranked No. 11 in 2021.
The year-end results underscore the overwhelming global impact of “APT.” Earlier this month, Apple Music announced it as the No. 1 most-streamed song worldwide in 2025.
The song debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 2024, making Rosé the first female K-pop soloist to enter the Top 10. It later climbed to No. 3 in January 2025, extending her own record and marking Bruno Mars’s 20th career Top 10 hit. In the U.K., it peaked at No. 2, the highest-ever ranking for a Korean female solo artist.
“APT.” also dominated the Billboard global charts. It spent nine consecutive weeks at No. 1 on both the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. With 224.5 million streams in its debut week, it recorded the second-highest weekly global streaming total in Global 200 history. It also became the first song to surpass 200 million weekly streams twice, recording 207.5 million in its second week. Among the top 10 biggest global streaming weeks for songs released in 2024, “APT.” accounts for nine.
In Japan, “APT.” made history by reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, becoming the first Western song to top the chart in 11 years and the only Western act to achieve multiple weeks at No. 1.
Meanwhile, on the Billboard 200 Year-End Albums ranking, Rosé’s solo album ROZY placed at No. 112. Stray Kids’ KARMA and HOP ranked at No. 128 and No. 157, respectively, while CatsEye’s Beautiful Chaos landed at No. 182.
