Danielle Announces First Live Broadcast After Launching Personal SNS, Says “Unrelated to Lawsuit”
Danielle, who has been removed from the group NewJeans, has announced her first live broadcast following the launch of her personal social media account.
On the 12th, Danielle posted an image on her Instagram reading, “for those who waited 12 Jan. 7PM.” According to law firm Yulchon, Danielle is scheduled to go live on SNS at 7 p.m. that day to share updates and greetings with her fans. The live broadcast will be streamed in real time via YouTube and Instagram.
Through this session, Danielle plans to express her deep gratitude to domestic and international fans who have continued to support and love her, share personal updates, and directly communicate with fans by asking after their well-being.
Public attention has been focused on whether she will address her dispute with ADOR during the live broadcast. In response, Danielle’s side stated, “This live broadcast is purely for communication with fans and is unrelated to the lawsuit.”
Danielle recently opened a personal Instagram account, where she currently follows only her older sister, singer Danielle Marsh. Since news of her Instagram launch became known, her follower count has surpassed 230,000 as of the morning of the 12th.
Meanwhile, Danielle has been removed from the group NewJeans. On the 29th of last month, her agency ADOR announced that it had notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract, stating, “We plan to pursue legal responsibility against one member of Danielle’s family and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who bear significant responsibility for causing the current exclusive contract dispute and for the departure from NewJeans and the delay in the group’s return.”
ADOR further stated, “Acts violating the exclusive contract occurred, including entering into contracts that conflict with the exclusive agreement, engaging in independent entertainment activities, and damaging the reputation or credibility of the company and NewJeans. Despite requests for correction, these issues were not remedied within the given period, leading us to notify the termination.”
ADOR has filed lawsuits seeking contractual penalties and damages against Danielle, Min Hee-jin, and others. The amount claimed by ADOR against the three individuals is reported to be approximately 43.1 billion won. In response, Danielle’s side has also appointed legal counsel and begun countermeasures.
