The film'Criminal City 2'(director Lee Sang-yong), starring Ma Dong-seok, resumes shooting after a year.
According to the film industry on the 31st, the production crew of 'Criminal City 2'and actors such as Ma Dong-seok decided to shoot in Korea from May to June by replacing the Vietnamese scenes with sets and CG. The production team has already visited Vietnam in mid-February, finished filming the source for CG work, and returned to Korea in mid-March.
'Criminal City 2' is the sequel to'Criminal City', which opened on October 3, 2017 and mobilized 6.88 million people despite the juvenile viewing grade. Ma Dong-seok, and Son Seok-gu, Choi Gwi-hwa, and Park Ji-hwan appear. It deals with the story of the Black Dragon, a brutal Chinese criminal group who does anything with money, and the police to communicate it.
Initially,'Criminal City 2'was planned to be filmed in Vietnam in early March of last year, but due to the spread of COVID 19, the Vietnamese government decided to ban Koreans from entering the country, causing a setback in the schedule. After that, as the situation became more and more serious, the staff who were preparing for filming in Vietnam first withdrew and filmed the Korean version first from April to May.
