Global fan community platform Weverse will open the community of American pop singer MAX on May 31.
This is the sixth time foreign label artists have joined Weverse after Gracie Abrams, New Hope Club, Alexander23, Jeremy Zucker and Pretty Much.
Max is an artist with a strong fandom based on his husky vocals and a wide music spectrum. In 2016, his first studio album 'Hell's Kitchen Angel' achieved more than 2 billion cumulative streaming, and the lead single 'Lights Down Low' was a great success, including triple platinum in the US and platinum in Canada.
In 2019, Queen Ninety-two (Quinn XCII) released the single 'Love Me Less', and in the same year, it was named 'Top pop-star to watch' by Billboard, being introduced as "Young Pop God".
Max also impressed K-pop fans with his collaborations with Korean artists. Following the successful first concert in Seoul in 2020, the music work with BTS member Suga drew attention. 'Blueberry Eyes (feat. SUGA of BTS)' was released in September last year and is a song that Max made for her wife, and the romantic lyrics are added to Suga's sensual Korean rap to maximize the perfection. He also won Best Pop Artist at the 2020 Asian Artist Awards. Max performed a collaboration stage with Daniel Kang at the awards ceremony and received favorable reviews from global fans.
Max, who has been interacting with fans by releasing live videos in the meantime, joined Weverse for the global simultaneous release of the single 'Butterflies' next month and joined fans around the world.
