가수 임영웅이 2021 멜론 뮤직 어워드(2021 MMA) TOP10 투표 톱2를 차지하며 수상 가능성을 높였다. 임영웅은 11월 22일 자정 마감된 2021 MMA TOP10 투표에서 최종 2위를 기록했다.
올 한 해 가장 사랑 받은 아티스트 10팀을 선정해 시상하는 2021 MMA TOP10은 음원(2020년 11월 11일~2021년 11월 7일) 80%와 투표 20%를 합산해 결정된다.
멜론 차트를 '올킬'하며 눈에 띄는 성적을 기록해 온 임영웅은 TOP10 투표에서도 2위를 기록함에 따라 최종 수상 가능성을 더욱 높였다.
최종 결과는 12월 4일 열리는 2021 MMA에서 발표된다.
