가수 임영웅이 최애 남자 트롯스타 1위에 오르며 뜨거운 인기를 빛냈다. 임영웅은 7월 20일 오전 9시부터 7월 26일 오후 11시 59분까지 포털사이트 다음 연예 투표에서 진행된 '당신의 남자 트롯스타를 선택해주세요!' 설문에서 1위를 차지했다.
임영웅은 31%의 득표율로 1위를 기록했다. 임영웅에 이어 2위 정동원(25%), 3위 이찬원(11%), 4위 조명섭(8%), 5위 영탁(5%) 순이었다.
지난 5월 첫 정규 앨범 'IM HERO'를 발매한 임영웅은 각종 음원, 음원 차트를 휩쓸며 인기를 빛내고 있다. 데뷔 첫 전국투어 단독콘서트는 매회 전석 매진을 기록하며 대한민국을 뜨겁게 달구고 있다.
