BTS member Jimin has illuminated his powerful solo presence by achieving 20 consecutive weeks on the US Billboard chart.
Jimin's solo debut album 'FACE' secured the 11th place on the Billboard 'World Albums' chart for the week of August 19th. Jimin has broken his own record of the longest-standing Korean solo album on the chart, surpassing his previous 19-week record and setting a new milestone of 20 consecutive weeks on the chart.
The album 'FACE,' which debuted at #1 on the chart, previously marked the first-ever 4-week consecutive #1 and the longest-standing 'Top 10' for a Korean solo album, with a record-breaking 17 weeks. Additionally, achieving 20 consecutive weeks on the chart has surpassed the longest-standing Asian solo album record since its release in 2023. Furthermore, in the 'Top Current Album Sales' chart, Jimin's album climbed 4 spots to reach 60th place, demonstrating unstoppable popularity and continuing its remarkable 20-week streak on the chart.
The title track 'Like Crazy,' shining at the top of the Billboard 'Hot 100,' has also displayed its fierce resilience. It rose 6 spots on both the 'Global 200' chart, ranking 64th, and the 'Global (excluding US)' chart, ranking 41st, continuing its 20-week consecutive chart presence.
Not only in the United States but also on charts around the world, Jimin continues to enjoy immense popularity. On the Billboard Vietnam 'Hot 100' chart, 'Like Crazy' achieved the 5th place this week, maintaining its presence in the top 10 for the 18th consecutive week, showcasing an overwhelming presence by rewriting the record for the longest-standing Korean solo song each week.
Moreover, on the French Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP) 'Top Physical Albums' chart, 'FACE,' which debuted at 3rd place, has successfully risen for two consecutive weeks, settling at 126th place, a remarkable achievement of 20 consecutive weeks on the chart. This demonstrates Jimin's solo power in the local scene.
Since its release in March, 'Like Crazy,' which achieved the #1 spot on the Billboard 'Hot 100' and recorded over 920,000 sales in the US, has become the most successful K-pop solo song. It has continued its steady dominance on various music charts worldwide for over four months, solidifying its place as a steady hit.
