BTS's Jimin has solidified his position in the Korean music industry with his solo album 'FACE,' which surpassed 200 million streams on the country's largest music platform, Melon, just six months after its release on September 25th. This achievement makes it the only record among solo K-pop artist albums released this year to reach such a milestone.
As of September 26th, the album's title track, 'Like Crazy,' garnered 78.9 million streams for the original version and 15.7 million for the English version. 'Set Me Free Pt.2' reached 44 million streams, 'Face-off' achieved 26.4 million, 'Alone' had 24.3 million streams, and 'Interlude: Dive' reached 11.9 million streams, totaling over 212 million streams. Jimin's 'FACE' album made history by accumulating one million streams within just six hours of its release and reaching 2.9613 million streams within the first 24 hours, securing its place in Melon's Hall of Fame as the Korean solo artist album with the most streams within 24 hours.
Furthermore, Jimin's involvement in the entire songwriting, composing, and production process of the 'FACE' album showcased his authenticity as an artist. Every track from the album entered the Melon Top 100 chart immediately after its release, setting an exceptional record for a K-pop male solo artist.
