BTS's V, also known as Taehyung, has been making waves with his solo album 'LayOver,' conquering European charts and showcasing his global popularity.
V's solo album 'LayOver' has secured the 3rd position on the Greece IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) album chart for the third consecutive week in the first week of October.
'LayOver' has also displayed remarkable strength on the UK Official Chart, becoming the first K-pop soloist to continuously chart on the album download chart for four weeks. The title track, 'Slow Dancing,' has also maintained its presence on the official single download chart and single sales chart for four consecutive weeks.
Upon its release on September 8th, 'LayOver' achieved first place on both the UK Official Album Download Chart and the official single download chart for its title track 'Slow Dancing.' V made history as the first K-pop soloist to simultaneously top three charts, winning the 'UK Chart Specialist Awards.'
The music video for 'Love Me Again,' one of the tracks on 'LayOver,' also proved V's popularity in the UK by reaching the top spot on the 'Tidal UK Top Videos' chart, a first for a K-pop artist, and the Apple Music UK Video chart.
'LayOver' album achieved notable positions on various European charts, such as 4th place on Germany's 'Top 100 Albums' chart, 5th place on the 'Top 100 Downloads' chart, 6th place on SNEP France's 'Album Top 150,' 12th place on Billboard Italy's 'Top Albums,' 3rd place on Billboard Greece's Album chart, 35th place on Spain's 'Top 100 Weekly' chart, 4th place on Sweden's 'Physical Albums' chart, and 2nd place on both Poland's 'Top Albums' and 'Physical Albums' charts.
Additionally, it secured the 4th position on Austria's 'Top 75 Albums,' 6th place on Switzerland's 'Top 100 Albums,' and ranked 5th and 7th on the Belgium Wallonia and Flanders Album charts, respectively. In Hungary, it reached the 17th position on the 'Top 40 Albums,' and in Finland, it secured the 5th place on the 'Top Physical Albums' chart and the 19th place on the 'Top Albums' chart, among other notable achievements across European charts, solidifying its global popularity.
