The group NewJeans, consisting of members Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein, has achieved a remarkable feat on the US Billboard main chart, establishing a new record for 4th generation K-pop groups.
According to the latest Billboard chart released on December 12 (local time), NewJeans' second EP, 'Get Up,' secured the 156th position on the Billboard 200 album chart.
Since its release on July 21, 'Get Up' had previously reached the top spot on this chart on August 5, maintaining its presence for 20 consecutive weeks. With this achievement, NewJeans has now set a record for the longest-charting period among 4th generation K-pop groups.
The title track of 'Get Up,' called 'Super Shy,' continues to enjoy enduring popularity on the Billboard charts. 'Super Shy' is currently ranked 88th on the 'Global (excluding the US)' chart and 133rd on the 'Global 200' chart this week, maintaining its position in the rankings for 22 consecutive weeks on both charts. Another title track from 'Get Up,' 'ETA,' has also remained on the 'Global (excluding the US)' chart at 198th place for its 20th consecutive week.
