NewJeans, the South Korean group consisting of members Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, and Hyein, is making a comeback with their first remix album 'NJWMX' on the 19th. The group shared the news of the album release along with two teaser videos on their official social media accounts on the 14th and 15th.
In the teaser videos, the humming of NewJeans' winter representative song 'Ditto' can be heard, accompanied by familiar scenes from the 'Ditto' music video. The scenes include members joyfully running through school hallways, the six of them sitting side by side with closed eyes in school uniforms, and a girl watching a deer in a snowy field, evoking the emotional atmosphere of the song.
Notably, the remix album is set to be released on the 19th, marking the first anniversary of the release of 'Ditto.' This has heightened fans' anticipation and interest.
NewJeans' first remix album 'NJWMX' includes remixes of two songs ('OMG' and 'Ditto') from the single album 'OMG' and remixes of four songs ('Hype Boy,' 'Attention,' 'Hurt,' 'Cookie') from the debut album 'New Jeans.'
Additionally, the album features six instrumental tracks, totaling 12 songs.
ADOR, the group's agency, stated, "From the remix of 'Ditto,' the winter song responsible for NewJeans and Bunnies' year-end season, to the Afro Hip-hop-based transformation of 'OMG,' the atmospheric change into 1990s R&B style with the 'Hype Boy' remix, and the emotionally resonant 'Hurt' remix with an Organic Sound sensibility, we have prepared a diverse range of songs." They added, "As this album is filled with NewJeans' desire to spend this winter with Bunnies, we hope it becomes a special gift for Bunnies."
NewJeans' remix album 'NJWMX' will be available on all music streaming platforms on the 19th at 6 p.m.
