ITZY's Yeji has revealed the music video for her solo track, "Crown On My Head," which is included in the group's upcoming album.
ITZY is set to make a comeback with their new album, "BORN TO BE," and title track, "UNTOUCHABLE," on January 8, 2024. Starting with the release of the music video for the first track, "BORN TO BE," on the 18th, the group has been sequentially unveiling a total of 8 video contents. On the 20th, through their official channel, they released the music video for Yeji's solo track, "Crown On My Head."
In the video, Yeji boldly continues her story even in a situation where lightning strikes and sparks fly. With determined steps, she exudes confident willpower, holding a burning crown high and flashing a self-assured smile. Through crisp and powerful performances and relaxed facial expressions, she showcases her capabilities as a "performance queen," completing the music video filled with Yeji's unique aura.
According to JYP Entertainment, the fifth track on the new album, "Crown On My Head," was personally written and composed by Yeji. The intense melody harmonizes with the members' inherent charisma. Inspired by the keywords "Crown" and "Queen," the lyrics convey the determination to believe in oneself and create one's own path, abandoning the predetermined road.
The new album includes solo tracks from all the members, including "Blossom (Lia)," "Run Away (Ryujin)," "Mine (Chaeryeong)," and "Yet, but (Yuna)," each contributing to the songwriting. The album also features the title track "UNTOUCHABLE," as well as "BORN TO BE," "Mr. Vampire," "Dynamite," and "Escalator," totaling 10 tracks. Renowned domestic and international songwriters such as Esra, Bang Hyehyun, Maria Marcus, Shim Eunji, Lee Woo-min ('collapsedone'), SELAH, and Mochi ('MRCH') collaborated to create this masterpiece.
ITZY will celebrate the release of the new mini-album and title track on January 8 at 5 p.m. with a countdown live event for fans in Korea and around the world. On February 24 and 25, they will hold a two-day solo concert at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul, marking the beginning of their second world tour, "ITZY THE 2ND WORLD TOUR <BORN TO BE>."
