Their latest work, filled with the anticipated "powerful and fiery flavor," is expected to further heat up global fan enthusiasm. The opening track 'BORN TO BE' and the music video for the included song 'Mr. Vampire' reached the top spot on YouTube's worldwide trending list after their release, demonstrating the high expectations from fans worldwide for ITZY's new album.
Adding significance to ITZY's first comeback of 2024, the album 'BORN TO BE' carries a bold message of "advancing as desired in the vast world before our eyes." Building on the group's core musical identity of "respecting and loving oneself" emphasized since their debut with 'DALLA DALLA', the album signifies a more challenging meaning of expressing oneself freely and surpassing personal limits.
The new song 'UNTOUCHABLE' features choreography by the world-renowned choreographer Kiel Tutin and dancer Song Heesoo from the 2022 Mnet 'Street Dance Girls Fighter' winning team 'Turns.' It promises the birth of a stage of historic proportions. Produced by Isran, who worked on 'None of My Business' from their previous work 'KILL MY DOUBT,' along with renowned lyricist Bang Hyehyun and multiple K-pop artists collaborating with Maria Marcus, the album is well-crafted. The members convey a message to listeners, urging them to face and overcome the countless conflicts and difficulties in the world around us "together."
The new mini-album includes a total of 10 tracks, including the title track 'UNTOUCHABLE,' 'BORN TO BE,' 'Mr. Vampire,' 'Dynamite,' 'Escalator,' and solo songs for each member: 'Crown On My Head (Yeji),' 'Blossom (Lia),' 'Run Away (Ryujin),' 'Mine (Chaeryeong),' and 'Yet, but (Yuna).'
