BTS's Jungkook has illuminated his presence by setting a historic record as the first solo K-pop album to debut at number one on the Circle Chart with 'GOLDEN.'
Released in November of last year, Jungkook's debut solo album 'GOLDEN' surpassed 2 million in cumulative sales on the Circle Chart (formerly Gaon Chart) operated by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA), earning him a double million (2M) certification.
Additionally, the platform album 'GOLDEN (Weverse),' which is only available on the Weverse app in QR code format, achieved sales of 250,000 copies, securing a Platinum certification.
In the recent '2023 Cumulative Album (Physical) Sales Top 15' announced by the Circle Chart, 'GOLDEN' recorded sales of 2,702,453 copies, ranking first in cumulative album sales for 2023, including both male and female solo K-pop artists.
Notably, 'GOLDEN' broke the record of reaching 2 million in sales within just 5 hours of release, making it a 'double million seller.' Furthermore, on the day of its release, the album set a new record by achieving first place in initial sales for K-pop solo artists, predicting a surge in popularity.
