BTS member Jimin's Korean solo album "Face" sets a new record on Billboard's 'World Albums' chart, establishing his prominence in the K-pop scene.
Jimin, who released his first solo album "Face" on March 24 last year, made history by charting for 40 weeks on the Billboard 'World Albums' chart, marking the longest run for a Korean solo album.
Debuting at No. 1 on the chart and staying atop for a record 5 weeks, "Face" became the only Korean solo album to achieve this feat. On the latest chart as of February 17, it secured the 9th spot, making Jimin the only Korean solo artist to have his name listed and setting a new record of 22 consecutive weeks in the top 10 for Korean solo albums and a record of 40 weeks on the chart. The title track of the "Face" album, "Like Crazy," which became the first No. 1 on the 'Hot 100' chart by a Korean solo artist, ranking 66th in Billboard's history of Hot Shots, recorded the highest sales ever for a Korean solo artist on the 'Global 200' chart, rising four spots to 155th from last week.
Moreover, debuting at 109th on the 'Global (excluding US)' chart alongside the 'Global 200', Jimin has continuously charted for 46 weeks since his debut, showcasing his formidable solo power and surpassing his own record of the longest charting period by a Korean solo artist.
