Singer IU has announced that she will hold an encore concert for her "2024 World Tour" at Seoul's Sangam World Cup Stadium in September.
On the afternoon of the 10th, IU held the '2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert IN SEOUL' at KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. IU held a total of four Seoul concerts for her world tour this year, following performances on the 2nd, 3rd, and 9th. During the concert, IU sang "Through the Night" and the double title track "Shopper" from her 6th mini-album "The Winning," interacting with her fans Uaena.
Throughout the performance, IU made comments such as "Did you feel the dopamine rush?", "Should we set fire to someone who can't be torn anymore?".
She said, "It's my first world tour, and I'm excited but also worried about going to different cities every week to see my fans. I'm really grateful that all the concerts were sold out. Wouldn't Korean fans miss me while I'm going around once? So I think we need to have an encore concert. I will continue to challenge myself in my thirties. This time, I'll go to Sangam. I'll show a different performance than the gymnastics arena. With the energy from this concert, I'll come back smiling in September after going around once," surprising everyone with the news of an encore concert.
IU continued her performance with songs like "Outside the Time", "You and I", and "Love wins all", which includes a music video portraying tender emotions with BTS's V.
IU's concert is her first since the 2022 IU Concert 'The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun' held at Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium about 1 year and 6 months ago, and her first overseas concert since the 'LOVE, POEM' Asia tour in 2019, approximately 5 years ago.
IU received rave reviews for her spectacular stage production with hot air balloons, fireworks, drone shows and others at the 2022 concert 'The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun'.
This year, with a closer interaction, a richer setlist, and a fabulous guest lineup, she moved 60,000 fans, Uaena, over four days. New Jeans, Rise, LE SSERAPHIM, and others appeared as guests at the Seoul concert, adding to the atmosphere.
