Stray Kids will release their debut Japanese drama OST, "WHY?", on April 12th, for the drama "Re:リベンジ-欲望の果てに-" which will premiere on April 11th on Fuji TV's Thursday Theater.
On the 23rd, Stray Kids announced through their official Japanese SNS channel their participation in the OST "WHY?" for the drama. The drama revolves around the protagonist's ambition and desire for revenge in an original suspense genre, and expectations are high for Stray Kids' high-quality music to synergize with the work.
The new song, "WHY?", marks Stray Kids' first local drama OST and is produced by the group's producing team, 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), adding special significance. The song encapsulates a dystopian image of facing numerous obstacles on the path towards one's goals but still moving forward, portrayed through intense sound.
The members of Stray Kids expressed their anticipation for their first Japanese drama OST, stating, "We prepared the lyrics to express the appearance of the protagonist, so we hope you enjoy the depth and worldview of the drama with 'WHY?'" The song will be officially released at midnight on April 12th, right after the drama's first broadcast.
Additionally, Stray Kids will host their first offline fan event, "Stray Kids Fan Connecting 2024 'SKZ TOY WORLD,'" at Kyocera Dome Osaka on April 6th-7th and at Saitama Super Arena on April 27th-28th. Following this, they will perform at major overseas music festivals, including "I-Days" in Milan, Italy in July, "BST Hyde Park" in London, UK, and "Lollapalooza Chicago" in Illinois, USA, in August, solidifying their status as triple headliners at major international music festivals.
