Released in July last year, Jungkook's solo single "Seven" reached 1.6 billion streams (before filtering) on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, in just 303 days. The track amassed a total of 1,600,096,379 streams, showcasing its impressive performance.
Jungkook's "Seven" set a record as the fastest song by an Asian and K-pop artist, and the first by a K-pop solo artist, to achieve 1.6 billion streams on Spotify. It also became the third fastest song worldwide to reach this milestone, and the fastest among songs released in 2023 and debut songs, demonstrating its immense popularity.
Additionally, "Seven" made history by becoming the first song by an Asian solo artist to enter Spotify's all-time top 200 most-streamed songs at 198th place. Previously, "Seven" achieved the fastest milestones in Spotify's history for reaching 100 million, 900 million, 1 billion, and 1.1 billion streams (before filtering).
In just about four months of tracking, "Seven" was named the 4th most-streamed song worldwide in Spotify's year-end chart "Top Tracks of 2023," showcasing its rapid success.
With "Seven," Jungkook became the first Asian artist to top Spotify's major global daily chart for a total of 71 days and held the number one spot on the "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart for the longest period among male artists worldwide in 2023, for 9 weeks.
