BTS's V has showcased global popularity with his solo album 'Layover' on the iTunes Album Chart.


V's first solo album 'Layover' reached number one on the Guinea-Bissau iTunes Top Album Chart on July 14. With this achievement, 'Layover' has topped the iTunes Album Chart in 107 countries and regions. V now ranks as the fourth Asian solo artist, following BTS members RM, J-Hope, and Suga, in terms of iTunes Album Chart performance.


With 'Layover,' an R&B-based album, V has demonstrated strong music power and solidified his position as a solo artist.


Three tracks from the 'Layover' album, which topped the iTunes Album Chart in 107 countries, have also achieved number one in over 100 countries on the iTunes chart. 'Slow Dancing' topped the charts in 101 countries, 'Rainy Days' in 103 countries, and 'Love Me Again' in 100 countries. 'Layover' is the first K-pop solo album to have all its tracks surpass 100 million streams on Spotify, currently recording a total of 1.667 billion streams for the entire album.


On June 1, V became the first Asian solo artist to have all tracks from 'Layover' sell over 100,000 units in the US, further proving his prowess as a music powerhouse.


'Layover' reached number two on the Billboard 200, the main album chart, the highest ranking for a K-pop solo artist. Additionally, two tracks, 'Slow Dancing' and 'Love Me Again,' charted on the Billboard Hot 100, the main singles chart.
