BTS's Suga has made a surprise reentry into the US Billboard main chart.


According to the latest chart released by Billboard on the 16th (local time, dated July 20), Suga's 'D-DAY,' released under his stage name Agust D in April last year, reentered the 'Billboard 200' main album chart at number 169. This resurgence is attributed to the LP, which has been available for pre-order since April this year and began sequential shipping in the US in early July, reflecting in the sales. 'D-DAY' originally debuted at number 2 on the 'Billboard 200' (dated May 6, 2023). For a K-pop solo artist, this was one of the highest chart positions, tied with Jimin's solo debut album 'FACE,' V's solo debut album 'Layover,' and Jungkook's solo debut album 'GOLDEN.' 'D-DAY' remained on the chart for five consecutive weeks, earning widespread acclaim. 


Boosted by the LP release, it has made a surprising reentry onto the 'Billboard 200' chart nearly a year later. 'D-DAY' also secured the second position on the 'Vinyl Albums' chart. This album, along with RM's solo debut album 'Indigo' and Jimin's solo debut album 'FACE,' tied for the highest ranking for a K-pop solo artist on this chart. Additionally, 'D-DAY' reentered other specific charts, ranking third on the 'World Albums,' seventh on the 'Top Current Albums,' and eighth on the 'Top Album Sales' charts.


Meanwhile, the pre-release track 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco)' from Jimin's solo second album 'MUSE,' released on the 28th of last month, maintained high positions, ranking second on the 'World Digital Song Sales,' 40th on the 'Global (excluding the US),' and 48th on the 'Global 200.' On the 'Global 200' and 'Global (excluding the US)' charts, Jimin and Jungkook continue to enjoy long-lasting popularity. Jimin's solo debut album 'FACE' title track 'Like Crazy' (184th) and Jungkook's solo single 'Seven (feat. Latto)' (69th), released in July last year, were featured on the 'Global 200' chart. 


On the 'Global (excluding the US)' chart, 'Seven' ranked 42nd, 'Like Crazy' ranked 120th, and 'Standing Next to You,' the title track of Jungkook's solo album 'GOLDEN,' released in November 2023, ranked 123rd.
