Stray Kids' 'ATE' debuts at the top of the US Billboard 200 main chart, setting a world record as the first group to achieve five consecutive No. 1 entries since their debut.
According to Billboard's preview article released on the 28th (local time), Stray Kids' new mini-album 'ATE', released on July 19th, sold 232,000 album units in its first week in the US, securing the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 main chart dated August 3rd. With this achievement, Stray Kids have set a monumental record as the first group in history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with all five of their entries: 'ODDINARY' in March 2022, 'MAXIDENT' in October, '★★★★★ (5-STAR)' in June 2023, '樂-STAR' in November, and now 'ATE'.


Since their debut at the top of the Billboard 200 in March 2022, Stray Kids have consistently reached the top with each subsequent album, writing a new chapter in K-pop history. With their latest album 'ATE', they have become the first group ever to achieve five consecutive No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200, joining American rapper DMX as the second artist globally to do so. Stray Kids have thereby realized their grand ambition to dominate the global music market.


The first-week album units for 'ATE', totaling 232,000, represent the highest number for any K-pop album this year and the sixth highest among all albums released in 2024. Of these, 218,000 were album sales, marking the highest for any K-pop album this year and the second highest for any album worldwide in 2024, following Taylor Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department'. Stray Kids also clinched the No. 1 spot on the 'Top Album Sales' chart for the August 3rd issue.


Stray Kids, known as 'global top artists', have infused their pride into the new album 'ATE'. The title track 'Chk Chk Boom' exudes confidence, aiming clearly at their goals. The song debuted at No. 30 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, marking their highest entry, and the album entered at No. 62 on the Official Albums Chart Top 100. Additionally, 'ATE' topped the latest album chart announced by the French Record Federation (SNEP) on the 26th, ranked No. 2 on the German Official Chart (offizielle deutsche charts) from July 26 to August 1, and reached No. 7 on the Dutch Album Top 100 chart on July 27, showcasing their prominence on global charts.
