Released in September of last year, the title track 'Slow Dancing' from V's first solo album 'Layover' surpassed 400 million streams on the world's largest music platform, Spotify, on August 2nd (Korean time). 'Slow Dancing' has become the third of V's solo songs to surpass 400 million streams on Spotify. Alongside 'Slow Dancing', V's solo tracks 'Love Me Again' from 'Layover' and 'Christmas Tree', an OST from the drama 'Our Beloved Summer', have also surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify.
'Slow Dancing' debuted at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart, No. 3 on the Global (excluding the US) chart, and No. 4 on the Global 200 chart. It also debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Single Download and Single Sales charts, setting a new record for a K-pop solo artist by charting for 11 consecutive weeks. The album 'Layover', which includes 'Slow Dancing', also topped the UK Official Album Download chart, making V the first K-pop solo artist to simultaneously top both the UK Official Single and Album Download charts.
