PLAVE, a virtual idol group, is making a comeback after six months with a new single titled "Pump Up The Volume!" set to release on August 20th. 


The group, consisting of members Yejun, Noah, Bambi, Eunho, and Hamin, confirmed their return through a "coming soon" image released by their agency, Blast, on official SNS channels on the 12th. The image showcases a romantic scene with a camper and various equipment set against a sandy desert background, along with a label resembling a license plate that displays the release date "2024.08.20.18:00(KST)" and the phrase "Coming SOON!"


The new track, "Pump Up The Volume!" was born from a melody composed spontaneously during a live broadcast in June. It's described as a band song with an exciting band sound and a retro-inspired melody, showcasing PLAVE's refreshing and vibrant style.


Leading up to this comeback, PLAVE teased their fans by uploading instrument-playing videos of the members on their official SNS, each day at the same time as the respective member's birthday. The teasers featured Hamin on bass, Eunho on drums, Bambi on guitar, Noah on keyboard, and Yejun on vocals, gradually revealing the details of the new song and raising anticipation.


Their agency, Blast, hinted that the song would feature fresh lyrics and an analog-inspired melody, making it a perfect match for the summer season while also highlighting PLAVE's musical growth and charm.


This comeback marks PLAVE's return after six months since the release of their second mini-album "ASTERUM: 134-1" in February. During their last promotional period, PLAVE gained significant attention by becoming the first virtual idol group to win first place on a terrestrial music show. 


Their first solo concert saw over 70,000 fans attempting to purchase tickets during the pre-sale, and their mini-album surpassed 1 billion cumulative streams, making them the fastest to join Melon's "Billions Club." PLAVE is not just breaking new ground as a unique idol group, but they are also making history in the K-pop scene with their unprecedented success.


Additionally, PLAVE is set to hold an encore fan concert titled "PLAVE FAN CONCERT 'Hello, Asterum!' ENCORE" at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium on October 5th and 6th.
