BLACKPINK made their first official group appearance in 11 months after completing their exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment. On August 9th, BLACKPINK attended the production presentation for the movie BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK IN CINEMAS at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.
The film, created to commemorate BLACKPINK's 8th anniversary, showcases scenes from their world tour concerts and will be released in over 110 countries in various formats.
The members appeared on the pink carpet in coordinated black outfits and took the time to sign autographs for fans, offering some fan service.
BLACKPINK debuted in August 2016 and have had numerous hit tracks, including "Whistle," "Boombayah," "Playing with Fire," "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "Pretty Savage," "Pink Venom," and "Shut Down." Since their debut, they've released a total of 32 songs that have surpassed 100 million streams, gaining attention with each release.
After their world tour finale in September last year, BLACKPINK ended their exclusive contracts with YG Entertainment and began pursuing individual activities. Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo started their own independent agencies, while Rosé joined The Black Label.
