IVE Shares Tearful Reflections After Lollapalooza Performance: "Overwhelmed with Mixed Emotions"


The behind-the-scenes footage of girl group IVE's (An Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) performance at the "Lollapalooza Chicago" music festival in the U.S. has been revealed.


On the 27th, IVE released a video on their official YouTube channel showing the behind-the-scenes of their performance at "Lollapalooza Chicago," a major music festival in the U.S. On the day of the performance, the members were seen preparing in their own ways, trying to ease their nerves. Gaeul expressed her determination, saying, "Since we practiced a lot during rehearsals, I'm going to let go of my worries and just enjoy it." Rei added, "If we enjoy ourselves, the audience will enjoy it too," boosting the group's morale even before stepping onto the stage.


Before the performance, leader An Yujin showcased her leadership by gathering and adjusting the members' opinions, and they discussed how to engage with the audience. The group then moved to the venue, preparing earnestly for the show. With excitement and anticipation, IVE did a final check in sync with the band's music before stepping onto the stage to face the packed audience.


IVE embarked on their first world tour, "IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE'," last October, meeting fans across the globe. Starting with their Seoul concert in October last year, they have performed 37 shows in 27 cities across 19 countries in Asia, North America, Europe, and South America, drawing a total of 420,000 fans. The grand finale of their tour will take place on September 4th and 5th at Tokyo Dome in Japan. Additionally, today (August 28th), IVE released their new Japanese mini-album, "ALIVE."
