BTS's Jin Breaks into Billboard 'Hot 100' Again with Solo Track


BTS member Jin has made another impressive entry into the U.S. Billboard's main singles chart, the Hot 100, with his latest solo track.


According to Billboard's official social media preview on November 26 (KST), Jin's solo album Happy's title track, "Running Wild," debuted at No. 53 on the Hot 100 for the chart dated November 30. This marks Jin's second solo appearance on the Hot 100, following his 2022 single "The Astronaut," which peaked at No. 51. With this achievement, Jin has once again demonstrated his prominence on both of Billboard's major charts, signifying a triumphant comeback.


Earlier, it was revealed that Happy had secured the No. 4 spot on the latest Billboard 200 chart, a remarkable feat given the strong presence of holiday-themed music during the year-end season. Additionally, "Running Wild" has dominated other Billboard charts, ranking No. 4 on the Global (Excl. U.S.) chart and No. 5 on the Global 200.


Released on November 15, "Running Wild" is a pop-rock track with a British rock-inspired new wave sound. Its uplifting and warm message encourages listeners to run tirelessly toward hope. Upon its release, the track achieved a career-high for Jin on major music charts, including No. 8 on Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global, No. 10 on the Weekly Top Songs Global, and No. 25 on the UK Official Singles Chart.


Later on November 26 at 2 PM KST, Jin will release another track, "To You (feat. Taka)." The song features Taka, the vocalist of the Japanese band ONE OK ROCK, who also contributed to the new album. With Jin's enchanting voice and Taka's powerful vocals, the song offers a fresh take on deep emotions of love. Fans eagerly anticipate this collaboration, which promises to deliver a unique musical experience.
