Stray Kids Unveils MV Teaser for New Song 'Walkin On Water': A Grand-Scale Comeback


Stray Kids has released the teaser for the music video of their new title track, "Walkin On Water", marking the first glimpse into their highly anticipated comeback.
On December 10, JYP Entertainment shared a series of high-quality teaser content for Stray Kids' upcoming release through their official social media channels. These included concept photos, the "UNVEIL : TRACK" series, and a mashup video. On December 9, the teaser for the "Walkin On Water" music video was unveiled, showcasing the group’s unique charm and individuality.


The video highlights the distinctive appeal of all eight members—Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N—set against a backdrop of grandeur and trendy visuals. Combining majestic yet hip sounds with a mix of classical beauty and modern elements, the teaser amplifies anticipation for the full music video. Notably, the title track’s theme of “water” is visually interpreted through innovative direction, promising an awe-inspiring scale and cinematic quality.


A New Genre: SKZHOP HIPTAPE
The project introduces a new genre called SKZHOP HIPTAPE, a name derived from Stray Kids’ abbreviation “SKZ” and “HIP-HOP.” This represents the group’s groundbreaking effort to carve out a unique musical identity. Their first work, "合 (HOP)", combines the concept of unity (“合”) with the word “HOP” from hip-hop, carrying a dual meaning.


The song "Walkin On Water" was crafted by the group’s in-house production team, 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han), showcasing their creative prowess and artistry.

Stray Kids continues to make waves globally as they prepare to perform at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) on December 12 (local time).
