BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Makes Solo Comeback After Two Years with ‘AMORTAGE’… First Performance on ‘Inkigayo’
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo unveils a deeper emotional depth with her new solo release, AMORTAGE.
On February 14 at 2 PM KST, Jisoo will release her solo mini-album AMORTAGE on various domestic and international online music platforms. This marks her first comeback in two years since her solo debut track FLOWER and her first release under her independent label, BLISSOO. The album features a total of four songs: two Korean tracks, earthquake and TEARS, and two English tracks, Your Love and Hugs & Kisses.
The album title AMORTAGE is a combination of "AMOR" (Spanish for love) and "MONTAGE," a film editing technique that pieces together different scenes to convey meaning. This album encapsulates Jisoo’s artistic journey, showcasing her versatility as an all-around artist. She actively participated in the songwriting process for all four tracks, demonstrating significant growth in music, performance, and visuals.
The title track, earthquake, portrays the excitement of new love and the overwhelming emotions toward a significant other. Along with the song’s release, the official music video—starring Jisoo herself—will also premiere today. Fans are eagerly anticipating the stunning cinematography, storytelling, and Jisoo’s fresh artistic expression in this highly awaited comeback.
