BOYNEXTDOOR has participated in the creation of all tracks on their new album, “No Genre.”
BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Ryu, Myeong Jaehyun, Taesan, Lee Han, Eunhak) released the tracklist for their fourth mini-album, “No Genre,” on their official social media channels at 10 PM on April 21st. The tracklist utilizes a variety of colors like yellow, purple, and light green, along with stylish typography, to convey the hip vibe of the new album. “No Genre” consists of a total of seven tracks, including the title track “I Feel Good,” as well as new songs like “123-78,” “Step By Step,” “Are You Kidding Me?,” and “Next Mistake,” along with their January digital single “Today I LOVE YOU” and an English version of the title track. Myeong Jaehyun, Taesan, and Eunhak have once again included their names in the album credits. Notably, Eunhak participated in the creation of all tracks, demonstrating his musical growth.
“No Genre,” set to be released on May 13th at 6 PM, is an album that highlights the confident and free-spirited charm of the six members. The word “Genre” used in the album title defines the format in the fields of art such as music and film, but sometimes it can become a framework and limit possibilities. BOYNEXTDOOR has incorporated their ambition to make the music they want without being confined by the boundaries of genre into the new album. The title track, “I Feel Good,” showcases BOYNEXTDOOR’s confident attitude, unconstrained by any particular style, and is characterized by its dynamic energy. The song was completed by KOZ Entertainment’s representative producer and artist ZICO, along with Pop Time and Kako, resulting in a highly addictive track.
The track “123-78” expresses the longing for a past lover by weaving it into the act of counting time. “Step By Step” conveys the desire to hold onto the fleeting seasons, while “Are You Kidding Me?” depicts the cute jealousy felt when seeing an ex-lover with someone else. “Next Mistake” deals with the emotions of love, which feel like the right answer when they’re hot but like a mistake when they’ve cooled down. “Today I LOVE YOU” realistically portrays the aftermath of a breakup.
