SEVENTEEN member THE 8 showcased his unique artistic sensibility through a music film that fuses music and visual art.



On the 7th, HYBE’s music label PLEDIS Entertainment uploaded the music film for THE 8’s self-composed track “Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)” on SEVENTEEN’s official YouTube channel. Inspired by the lyric “a clock without direction (没有方向的钟),” the video portrays THE 8’s dreamlike journey through a surreal world. With visuals reminiscent of an art film, the mise-en-scène captivates viewers. THE 8 wanders through shadowy hallways, a rain-soaked street with a phone booth, and a dazzling flower field on an alien planet. In each place, clocks without hands are hidden—symbols of collapsed boundaries between time and space. Despite being caught in endless transitions across dimensions, THE 8 ultimately keeps moving forward, leaving a lingering impression.



THE 8 collaborated with global fashion and culture magazine Wonderland. to complete the music film. Having previously appeared as a cover star for the magazine, he once again graces the cover of the UK October issue through this project. The pictorial will also be featured in Wonderland China.



“Star Crossing Night (feat. GALI)” expresses the perspective of someone reminiscing about the memory of falling in love. Blending electronic and R&B elements with emotional vocals, the track evokes a wistful, sentimental mood. Created in collaboration with Chinese short-form video platform Douyin (抖音), the song shot to the top of QQ Music’s Hot Trend Chart and all three major Tencent Music charts (UNI Music Chart, Rising Chart, and Trend Chart) immediately upon release. It also entered the iTunes Worldwide Songs rankings.



Meanwhile, THE 8 is set to perform as a headliner at the large-scale YJ (Yue Jian Chao Xiang) music festival in Beijing on September 21—his first-ever festival appearance as a solo artist.
