Twice, the popular K-pop girl group, has achieved a milestone by becoming the first K-pop girl group to hold concerts in a Japanese stadium. They successfully completed four sold-out shows at the Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Japan, as part of their "TWICE WORLD TOUR 'READY TO BE' in JAPAN" on May 13th and 14th.
Twice previously made history in March 2019 by debuting at the Tokyo Dome, which was the shortest period of time for any overseas artist to achieve that feat. In April 2022, they became the first K-pop girl group to hold three consecutive sold-out concerts at the Tokyo Dome. Continuing their success, they have now entered a Japanese stadium, surpassing 1.2 million ticket applications and achieving a sold-out status for all seats. The four concerts are expected to attract approximately 220,000 attendees.
During the concerts, Twice showcased their upcoming 10th single album, "Hare Hare," which is set to be officially released on May 31st. They also performed the title track of their highly acclaimed 12th mini-album, "READY TO BE," which recently ranked 2nd on the Billboard 200 chart. Additionally, they delighted the audience with a hit song medley, including "YES or YES," "What is Love?," "CHEER UP," "LIKEY," "KNOCK KNOCK," "SCIENTIST," and "Heart Shaker."
Twice is currently conducting a large-scale world tour, expanding to new regions and venues. From May 20th to 21st, they will continue their performances at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo. Notably, the final show on May 21st will be simultaneously broadcasted online through the Beyond LIVE channel, allowing more global fans to join the concert.
Having kicked off their fifth world tour with two shows at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea, on April 15th and 16th, Twice proceeded to hold concerts in Sydney, Australia (May 2nd-3rd), Melbourne (May 6th-7th), and Osaka, Japan (May 13th-14th). They will continue the tour with upcoming performances in Tokyo (May 20th-21st), Los Angeles, USA (June 10th), Auckland (June 12th-13th), Seattle (June 16th), Dallas (June 21st), Houston (June 24th-25th), Chicago (June 28th-29th), Toronto, Canada (July 2nd-3rd), New York (July 6th), and Atlanta (July 9th), totaling 23 concerts in 14 cities worldwide.
Moreover, Twice's new Japanese single album, "Hare Hare," will be officially released on May 31st. In July, three members—Mina, Sana, and Momo—will form the group's first unit called "MISAMO" and make their official debut in Japan.
