SHINee, the group known as "BaekSeolCon" (referring to the group's fandom name, SHINee World), celebrated their 15th anniversary with a solo concert after a hiatus of over six years.
On the 25th, SHINee held their sixth solo concert, 'SHINee WORLD VI [PERFECT ILLUMINATION],' at KSPO DOME in Seoul's Songpa District. The concert took place over three days, starting from the 23rd, and attracted approximately 30,000 fans.
Following the completion of the members' military service since 2016, SHINee delighted fans by holding a face-to-face concert in Korea after a hiatus of 6 years and 9 months. This year holds special significance as it marks SHINee's 15th anniversary, making the concert meaningful for both the members and SHINee World.
Due to Onew's recent health-related break, the concert was performed by Key, Minho, and Taemin as a three-member group. SHINee kicked off the concert with "Chemistry," "Dream Girl," and "Heart Attack," and also premiered the title track from their 8th full-length album, "Like It," during this performance.
Taemin expressed his emotions by saying, "Hello, SHINee World. I missed you! I feel a great burden with the concert subtitle. It's quite coincidental that my suggestion for the subtitle was chosen every year. I've been thinking about it since our rehearsals." Key, with a smile, commented, "We've had a three-day concert, and it's already over. But now we won't have to go back to the military. Whether it's as officers or non-commissioned officers, we're at an age where we can't do that anymore."
During the concert, SHINee performed hit songs such as "Dream Girl," "Sherlock," "Don't Call Me," "Everybody," and "View." They also showcased highly anticipated stages of "Chemistry" and "Body Rhythm," which were considered the most desired performances by fans.
Additionally, SHINee brought new arrangements to their classic songs, including "Replay," "Love Like Oxygen," and "Aside," performed with a band arrangement. They also touched fans' emotions with their signature ballads, "Kind," "Selene 6.23," "An Ode To You," and "An Encore."
