AKMU (Akdong Musician) continues to maintain its popularity as their fourth single's title track, 'Love Lee,' claims the top spot on the Melon weekly chart for two consecutive weeks.
According to YG Entertainment on the 19th, AKMU's 'Love Lee' secured the number one position on the Melon weekly chart for the week of September 11 to September 17. This marks the second consecutive week that the song has held the top spot on the chart, demonstrating its long-lasting appeal.
Despite being released over a month ago on August 21, 'Love Lee' continues to enjoy immense popularity. It first achieved the number one position on the Melon daily chart on September 6 and has maintained that position for 14 consecutive days. The song also dominates other music streaming platforms like Genie, Flo, Naver Vibe, and Bugs.
Furthermore, 'Love Lee' recently achieved a double crown by winning first place on MBC's 'Show! Music Core' and SBS's 'Inkigayo' in the third week of September. These accomplishments are a testament to AKMU's broad appeal and the solid trust listeners have in them.
Notably, the song's dance choreography has also garnered attention for its addictiveness. Various dance challenges and short-form videos related to the song have flooded social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. In addition to their musical success, AKMU is set to hold their solo concert 'AKMU 2023 CONCERT [AKMUTOPIA]' at Kyung Hee University's Peace Palace in Seoul from November 24 to 26.
