The popular second-generation girl group 2NE1 (CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, Minzy) will be reuniting with YG Entertainment's head, Yang Hyun-suk, after a long time.
A representative from YG Entertainment told Star News on the 25th, "All the members of 2NE1 are scheduled to meet with chief producer Yang Hyun-suk soon." However, the representative was cautious about commenting on whether a full album release is planned.
Previously, news of a secret meeting between chief producer Yang Hyun-suk and CL had raised expectations for a 2NE1 comeback. CL recently shared updates about a full reunion to commemorate 2NE1's 15th anniversary. In 2022, they performed together on the main stage at Coachella, marking their first reunion performance in seven years.
2NE1 debuted in May 2009, making a significant impact as a YG girl group and releasing numerous hit songs. The group officially ended their activities in November 2016 and released their last digital single, "Goodbye," in 2017.
